Work Authorization For Students

Student applicant:
  • Every student must be above 18 years.
  • International students studying a full-time postgraduate or undergraduate degree course at a reputed university are permitted to work part-time. They can work for up to twenty hours a week during the term, and full-time during the holiday season.
  • Every Higher Education University or Institution clearly defines the semesters via the academic year, incorporating specific breaks for the holiday season. During the breaks, students can work full-time as per their preferences.
  • The UK now offers a post-study 2-year visa where students can take up a full-time job.
Student applicant:

  • Dependent visa holders can work freely in the United Kingdom. However, they are not permitted to work as healthcare professionals in training. If the independent spouse possesses the expertise and obtains sponsorship with a Tier 2 certified employer on their own account, they can never switch to a Tier 2 General Visa in the country.
